✨ Meet Ashira: Founder, Writer, Dog Mom, Proud Jew

Hi, I’m Ashira—creator of Luv & Social, lucky wife to the most talented illustrator I know, dog mom, and author of a growing collection of Jewish children’s books.

This little corner of the internet started from a place of love, healing, and joy. My husband and I have walked through some incredibly hard things—he’s a cancer survivor, and I’m a survivor of an antisemitic assault. Those experiences could have broken us, but instead, they became the fuel behind everything we create.

At the heart of Luv & Social is a simple mission: to celebrate what we love most—our faith, our family (fur-babies included), and our identity as proud Jews.

✡️ Why I Write Jewish Children’s Books

I believe children are one of Hashem’s greatest gifts—and it’s our job to nurture them, not just physically but spiritually and intellectually, too. That belief is what led me to begin writing Jewish children’s books—each one lovingly illustrated by my husband.

Our books are designed to do more than entertain. They’re meant to:

  • Spark curiosity about Jewish life, values, and traditions

  • Plant seeds of pride in our history and identity

  • Create joyful, loving bedtime memories that stick with our children long after the last page is turned

Because the stories we read to our kids at night? They matter. They become part of how our children see the world—and see themselves.

When we tell Jewish stories, we’re giving our children something to hold onto: language, heritage, rituals, laughter. We’re building something lasting—one bedtime at a time.
